Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
While we understand that everyone has unforeseen events, we ask that all of clients are mindful of the consequences of late cancellations and "no-shows". As well as being disruptive to therapists and teachers, this can cause other potential clients and students to miss out.
With this in mind, all appointments for both holistic treatments and yoga classes cancelled within 24 hours of treatment / class or "no-shows" will incur a charge equal to the full cost. If payment has been made up front no refund will be given. If payment has not been made in advance no further appointments will be accepted until payment has been received.
Cancellations made prior to this 24 hours notice period should be made either via the Acuity booking system or directly with Felicity either by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone (0775 123 8374). Pre-paid appointments can either be rescheduled or refunded minus a 5% administration charge.
The only exceptions to this policy will be if you are required to self-isolate or unexpectedly quarantine due to coronavirus, if business needs to close due to a lockdown or if while completing my risk assessment we consider it unsafe to proceed. In these instances, every effort will be made to reschedule your appointment for a later date but if this cannot be done a full refund will be given. This exception only applies to in-person treatments or classes.
In the unlikely event that we require to cancel due to circumstance or ill health full refunds will be given. However we do not assume any responsibility for any other costs you may incur and no reimbursement will be given.
Client Health Policy
Payment to Finding Felicity indicates agreement with these terms.
This policy explains your responsibility for your own health when participating in yoga classes, whether delivered online or in person. Whilst yoga can be extremely therapeutic, yoga is not a therapy and as such it is not a replacement for treatment by a medical health professional. Finding Felicity and Felicity Pryke accept no responsibility for any illness or injury sustained during any yoga class. Yoga teachers are not medical health professionals, and therefore they cannot be expected to know the particulars of treatment for any medical condition. You are the expert on your own body. Whilst yoga can be extremely therapeutic, it is not a therapy, and should not be treated as such.
Yoga is a method of self enquiry in which the responsibility lies firmly with the practitioner to ascertain what they should or should not be doing by paying close attention to how they feel. You are strongly advised to listen to your body, to rest whenever your breathing feels laboured, or you feel tired. I f you are unsure about the suitability of yoga for an existing condition you are strongly advised to check with your GP that you are well enough to attend a class. If you have any medical issues you wish to discuss prior to class please email email@example.com.
Yoga & Happiness
Yoga & Happiness is not counselling, coaching or therapy. It is intended as a high-level, informative view of the human thinking and feeling processes. You are not expected to share any personal information in the class and all practices and techniques are optional. If you are currently seeing a professional for any mental health condition, you are strongly advised to consult with your health practitioner before either taking the course or following any of the practices therein.
Online Teaching Disclaimer
Due to the nature of online teaching, it is impossible for the teacher to see everyone in the class all of the time. We cannot accept any responsibility, nor can we be held responsible, for anything that you choose to do with your body in the comfort of your own home. By purchasing any online class from Finding Felicity, you are entering into a contract whereby you agree to take full responsibility for yourself during your participation in all online classes.
We cannot be held responsible for any failure on behalf of any internet providers.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy; it must not be used as an alternative to modern medicine but an accompaniment to it. Although it may show up tensions in the body, reflexologists are not medical professionals and cannot claim to claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
While reflexology is suitable in the vast majority of cases, there are rare occasions when reflexology should not be performed. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before your initial treatment. You also have a responsibilty to inform your therapist of any changes to your health before any further treatments. Finding Felicity cannot be held responsible for any issues arising if this information is withheld.
If you have any medical concerns you should contact your GP.
Every individual appointment will require a Risk Assessment. We will call you within 24 hours of your appointment to check that it is safe for all concerned to proceed with treatment. If your situation changes and you or someone you have been in close contact with has symptoms of COVID-19 you MUST cancel your appointment. Full refunds will be given in this situation only. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0775 123 8374 for more information.
In Your Home
I have reduced the number of items I am bringing into your home to minimise the chance of infection. You will need to be on a chair or bed with your feet off the ground on a footstool, low table or recliner so that I can access the soles of your feet.
Please provide either one bath towel or two hand towels for your feet. I will bring a hand towel for myself so that I can wash my hands before and after treatment. I will also have hand sanitiser if you would prefer me not to use your facilities.
I will wear a mask for reflexology and a mask and visor for Indian head massage. It is preferable for you to wear a mask unless you are medically exempt, however this is left to your own discretion.
Please keep the room well ventilated with windows open. If the weather is fine I am happy to treat outdoors if you prefer. There should not be any other family members present in the room while I am treating you.
In Felicity’s Treatment Room
You are legally obliged to wear a mask during your treatment unless you are medically exempt. Please arrive wearing a mask and I will escort you straight to my treatment room upstairs. I will also be wearing a mask and I will also wear a visor for Indian head massage.
I will keep the window open so please bring warm clothing as I cannot currently offer a blanket. I also cannot provide a drink at all so please bring your own water.
Additional cleaning will be done before you arrive to ensure any touchpoints you may come into contact with are sanitised.
If possible it would be preferable for you not to use my bathroom facilities.
